Own Haven builds communities, not just units to live in.
Own Haven Housing Association NPC is a Section 21 company that provides affordable, quality new and refurbished rental housing for lower-income families.
Our properties are located in carefully planned living environments with links to public facilities and economic opportunities. Furthermore, we provide support that develops sustainable communities that benefit and enrich our tenants’ lives.
Own Haven’s mission is to create sustainable community wellness programmes for the families within our developments and the wider surrounding communities. To improve the quality of people’s lives, empower them with skills, and equip them with the necessary knowledge to better their futures.
Intervolve was established as a registered non-profit organisation and was tasked with achieving the mission of fundraising, managing, and reporting on sustainable community social responsibility programmes.
Every Own Haven employee is encouraged to spend at least two hours every month participating in one of our social development projects, and we invite the East London community to join in.
Corporate Social Investment
Companies who spend 1% of Net Profit After Tax (NPAT) on socio-economic development initiatives are allocated 5 points towards their BBBEE scorecard.
As a registered non-profit organisation, we will provide the following to companies who invest their SED in our initiatives:
- A section 18A certificate for monetary donations received.
- A ‘confirmation of Donation towards SED program spend’ which is required as a source document for a BBBEE audit.
- Regular program spend reporting tailored to investors requirements
